On the cutting geometry and kinematics of the arthroscopic forceps part

This Thesis presents a design innovation in arthroscopic forceps. Based on surveying the subject-matter literature on arthroscopic surgery of the knee, design changes are proposed to alter the cutting geometry of the functional end of the instrument to improve its utility. The proposed changes are imple-mented in a prototype, which is then compared with the current design. The comparison is made by testing the functioning of the instrument and the force required to shear the test material.

The diploma thesis deals with The study of transition between fully flooded and starved regimes in EHL Contact. The work is focused on problems of starved contact and surface texturing of rubbing surfaces. Surface texturing of rubbing surfaces is one of the adjustments that cause in a sense improved lubricity and reduce friction and wear. The aim of this study is to compare numerical models with real experimental results measured on the Experimental apparatus.

Marie Plecháčová Title of the thesis: The impact of high intensity laser on the healing of soft tissues of the knee joint in patients after arthroscopy The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of soft tissue healing of the knee joint after arthroscopy. The main goal of this work was to monitor the effect of high intensity laser on the healing of soft tissues of the knee joint after arthroscopy. The work consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the anatomy and biomechanics of the knee joint. Further summarizes information about the scar, its formation, types, care options and rating scales. The technical parameters and effects of the laser with a focus on the high intensity laser are also described here. Then, based on the data collection and analysis, the current state of this matter in the Czech Republic and abroad was described and summarized. The research includes 16 studies, which were selected on the basis of selected keywords, data actuality, validity and at the same time their pros and cons were considered. Lenka Satrapová Year of defense: 2012 Aim: The aim of this thesis is to summarize theoretical findings, application of the methodic of physiotherapy, process of the treatment and the observation its progression in patient after knee arthroscopy for meniscal lesions. Methods: The literature search and the case study of this issue were proceeded within the practical experience (from 9th January 2009 to 9th February 2009) in Centrum léčby pohybového aparátu in Prague (Centre of Motor Apparatus Treatment). The first part of the work is concerned with the theoretical knowledge of the knee joint (anatomy, biomechanics, medical imaging, traumatology and physiotherapeutic methods and examinations). Title: Case study of Physioterapy care of patient with diagnosis Multiple injuries of soft tissues of knee joints with following rigidity Author: Eliška Poláková Aim: Treatment proposal to the pacient with diagnosis multiple injuries of soft tissues of knee joints with following rigidity Methods and abstract: This work was developed as a research case study in professional practice, which took place from 23rd January 2012 do 17th February 2012 in Regional Hospital Kladno. The work is divided into a theoretical part and special part. The theoretical part deals with theoretical knowledge in terms of anatomy, kinesiology and injury mechanisms. It also includes the possibility of treatment in the matter, the possibility of investigative techniques and physiotherapy practices in the postoperative period. Related special section describes a case report of a patient with multiple disabilities posttraumatic soft tissue knee followed by rigidity, behavior therapy and evaluate the effect of therapy. Results: Status of patient is different at the beginning and end of therapy. Mainly to improve range of motion in L knee, increase muscle strength and improve walking stereotype. Title of the thesis: The case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of a patient after knee arthroscopy Aims: The aim of the thesis is comprehensive arrangement of theoretical findings about the knee joint, its injuries, examination, treatment and the process of arthroscopy. The aim is also to document the physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after arthroscopy of the knee joint. Summary: This bachelor thesis is conceived as a case report of a patient after arthroscopy of the knee joint. It consists of two parts, general and special. The first part is concerned with the theoretical knowledge of the knee joint, its anatomy, biomechanics, examination, physiotherapeutic methods and arthroscopic surgery. The special part is dedicated to a particular case of a patient after the knee arthroscopy. This part contains anonymized data about the patient, the treatment, comparison of the results of input and output kinesiological analysis and total assessment of the treatment effect. Especially I focus on arthroscopy of knee joint and following rehabilitation. Methods: Special part of the bachelor thesis is presented in the form of case interpretation of the patient after arthroscopy of knee joint for meniscal lesions. It consists of entry and leaving examination and therapeutic units. This part was created during bachelors practice in Centrum léčby pohybového aparátu v Praze Vysočanech (Center for treatment of motion apparatus in Prague Vysočany) between January 2nd 2017 and January 27th 2017 under the supervision of Mgr. Jakub Hoskovec. Results: During the measured timing the patient condition significantly improved therefore I conclude that the selected therapy methods were effective. Changes of rheological properties during various degrees of knee flexion

Aneta Vránová Title: Changes of rheological properties during various degrees of knee flexion Aim of the thesis: To find out if there is a difference in rheological properties in varoius degrees of flexion in the knee with meniscal tear and compare the results with measurement after physical aktivity. To compare changes of the reological properties of patients who have undegone meniscectomy a few years ago with patients with recent meniscectomy. Method: Experimental measurements were done by using the method of biorheometry which detects the passive resistance of the knee in movement from flexion to extension. Patients completed case history and a special questionnaire relevant to clinical changes connected to meniscal tear. Measuring data were evaluated and converted in the form of biorheogramme. We measured 6 persons. At first were done measurements in three different sequences for both lower extremities, the same measurement was repeated after the physical activity (50 squats). Results: We found changes of rheological properties in higher degrees of knee flexion with typical rising followed by fall of biorheogramme around flexion of 80ř. Case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient with the diagnosis after knee arthroscopy

Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient with the diagnosis after knee arthroscopy. Objective: Acquisition of theoretical knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics of the knee joint and physiotherapy techniques used for this diagnosis. In the special section has been selected to develop a case study patient during work placements. Method: The general part deals with the theoretical knowledge of the knee joint in terms of anatomy and biomechanics, traumatology as well as soft knee imaging, clinical examination, knee and therapeutic procedures. A special section covers the case of a patient, where it is processed history, input kinesiology analysis, process therapeutic units, output kinesiology analysis and evaluation of the effect of therapy. Late consequences of knee injury.

This thesis deals with the issue of knee injuries and gonarthrosis. The thesis has theoretical and empirical character. The theoretical section is divided into three main chapters. The anatomy of the knee joint is described in the first chapter. Second chapter deals with knee injuries; this part is focused on the injuries to ligaments, menisci, cartilage and patella. Gonarthrosis, its etiology, symptoms, treatment and prevention, is compiled in the last chapter. The empirical section contains the results of research. The research was performed as an anonymous questionnaire study. Respondents were older than 18 years and after the knee injury. The sample consisted of 102 respondents. The aim of the empirical section was to find out what kind of injuries the clients have experienced, their attitude towards the after-treatment of the injuries, their knowledge of gonarthrosis and whether they occupy themselves with its prevention. The results were processed into charts and graphs. The research show, that the most common injury is one to the anterior cruciate ligament. A third of the respondents does not follow the treatment regimen, most frequently they fail to walk on crutches or to wear a knee brace.
